Web3, Music and History Context
On the importance of historical context when exploring new technologies
In my capacity as a recovering popular music studies academic, I was recently invited to write a short piece for HiFiLabs on how historical context might help artists think about what to do with Web3.0. It was fascinating to work across timezones with people heavily engaged in this new music space, and I really like the online ’zine feel of the issue they’ve produced.

Thanks to HiFi Labs for asking me to do this. I really enjoyed the opportunity!
